Letter to the Editor: Thank you Cal Fire!!

   Dear SierraSentinel.com:

I remember a year or so ago your criticism of the way Cal Fire handled fires; too
slow responding, too late getting planes in the air, etc.

I'm so grateful!  They must have taken the good advice they were given!  Just look at only 5,700 homes and 40 dead in the Napa fires!

Thank you so much Cal Fire!!  For nothing!! You'll never learn!

Sick at heart with friends and family living (not any more) in Napa!!

Anonymous out of fear of retribution from fire people!!

This is far worse that you realize. People say the firefighters were not seen on burning street areas, told it was too dangerous.

When I saw this I thought it was really a thank you. I was up in Santa Rosa trying to help my sister. Fire trucks drove by the burning forest of houses without stpping. Too dangerous they said.

It was, a forest fire of house, just like butte fire. clearing doesn't help, noting will prevent this is fire dept afraid of getting hurt. nothing!!!!!

Well, my husband and I no longer feel safe! If a city can burn down like a forest, something is terribly wrong.

I'm not really sure what the issue is here. During the "Point" fire, the CAL Fire folks were immediately on top of the situation and saved my cabin, as well as others, from certain destruction.
