Ed Langan just sent an email regarding the 7 page memo that Supervisor Oliveira brought up at the May 22, 2018 Calaveras Supervisors meeting.
Ed says: "I did not receive a request for comment from you on this? And I honestly have no idea what this is all about or where it originated -- I was as blindside as anyone watching the reply of the BOS meeting the other night as Mike Oliveira went into this rant.
Yes, I was at the Fair and bumped into Dennis Mills at the CADS booth Calaveras Animal Disaster Services. There were maybe 5 people sitting there and there was not one word of a 7 page memo or any discussion on bridge repair.
As I recall the conversations was about animal rescue services in the Butte fire which is what these folks do. I also recall I was there for only 15 or 20 minutes amongst people I just met for the most part.
Everyone at the BOS meeting seemed surprised an when Mike Oliveira questioned our new OES Coordinator and she seemed surprised as well.
Please do not jump to conclusions on this because I do not believe there is any basis; certainly not from my position. Think about it, a 7 page memo is a huge memo if it exist? It sounds more like a County Council memo, something legal?
I have not heard a word from anyone else on this so I'm thinking its just not true -- or if there is something to it, it does not involve me. You have my word on that!"
