Letter to Sierra Sentinel: Property lines

   Dear Sierra Sentinel:

I don't want to get involved in this dispute, but I see confrontations happen all the time due to ignorance and lack of communication. As the cops know, it can and does, lead to violence.

Having been in the survey business for many years, I can tell you that no one in their right mind should go digging or cutting anywhere near someone elses property line.

The surveying marks are often not correct, corners are even moved, lines incorrectly drawn and is can lead to real trouble between neighbors.

I recommend that if anyone needs to do something near their property line, that they go and TALK to their neighbor about it. Don't just start digging, cutting, building, whatever.

Only a total mental case would have suggested that a new neighbor start a battle with another neighbor.  Be careful. Everyone is volatile right now in Calaveras as well as the country.

   Just trying to help

Missed all this yesterday. What a good letter this is. Everyone should take heed of this advice. I think maybe the new neighbor got intentionally bad advice. Myopinion.

You think??? Start with the PTSD mailman, then the other drunks and the fired cop. You've got a long list to go through. None of them would want you to get along with anyone else.
