When we received an anonymous tip that there may have been another runaway fire at the Tryon ranch last week, we sent an e-mail to the CalFire records department. We had not received any press release on such a fire.
After much pestering, and bothering, we got a copy of the report, very vague, with Tryon's name not on it, and a Segale reporting it.
The Battalion chief sent it to us, and said that the Tryon Fire is still under investigation and that they will release information as soon as they can.
We have an update: We now have confirmation that the fire on July 4 was a runaway caused by a debris pile left from the runaway fires in May. The previous fire was on December 26, 2011.
That is 3 fires in 7 months!

Is Mr. Tryon trying to burn down the flume, because he can't get someone else to clear his property at their expense? SS you might want to check that out and let the public know.
