Bigger Buses -- That's the Ticket!!

This is probably the next bus they'll
want to buy....

      It wasn't long ago that  the transit people came to the Board of Supervisors, insisting that they needed to buy much bigger buses because so many people were going
to ride transit.

   The fact is, that less people are now riding transit, even in a bad economy. You would think there would be higher ridership during hard times.

    The woman from transit always gives a grand speech, lining out all the wonderful things they are going to do to try and get their fare quota up. No, they are not even making the minimum quotas required by the State.

   Year after year, our tax money goes out to pay for these larger gas hog buses that drive around nearly empty. The difference now is that they put film over the windows so that the public won't know they're nearly empty. 

    This will probably continue forever, because every time they talk about this, promises are made and another year goes by. No wonder the government is broke.
