Devastating Colorado Springs Fire Can Happen Here?

Watching the unbelievably horrifying footage of the fire in the Colorado Springs area, is difficult, and many of us remember the Old Gulch Fire of 1992, which burned areas in Calaveras County from Fricot City to Hathaway Pines, started by

a car on the side of the road.
The footage of the woman hysterically crying while leaving her home, the neighboring homes already on fire, was so hard to watch, and you could easily put yourself right in her place.
With nearly 350 homes burned to ashes,  and over 17,000 acres of forest and wildlife habitat also destroyed, and a cost of $12.4 million so far in fighting the fire, they say they may have it somewhat contained.
This fire is under investigation by the FBI, as one person had reported that it was target shooters, and others believed it was partly some other human caused fire.
