A Special Board of Supervisors Meeting Thursday July 5, 2012

A special Calaveras County Board of Supervisors Meeting will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 9 AM with one item, a minute order authorizing the filling of one vacant unfunded Deputy Sheriff II position and approving a Budget Transfer to increase the Sheriff's offices by $90,984.

This will require a 4/5 vote of the Board.   The Sheriff was shorted because of Supervisors who placed Public Health Nurses and Sexually Transmitted Diseases  above our need for protection by Law Enforcement.
It seems that the Chair, Gary Tofanelli gets the credit for finding the money and getting the special meeting set up.  We sent him an e-mail thanking him and told him that this should keep him out of the Donkey Pen for awhile.
There will also be a closed session for anticipated litigation. (two cases)

If the two fools in Supervisor chairs are stupid enough to continue to withhold funding from our Sheriff, I wonder if they would react in a different way once their homes are the target of burglars, arsonists, druggies looking for a place to crash etc?????
What insane nonsense from elected officials...Let the public decide and I would bet the Sheriff would have all the funding he needs to protect our communities! Please go away Callaway..Murphys does not want you!!

Some of these Liberals on the Board of supervisors are Idiots. Take care of people who are not responsible with their own bodies,or get a Deputy's position and protect the community. It was a sad day in Murphys when Callaway got our district. She thinks like Obama
everyone is entitled.

Why wasn't this pot of gold found before the budget hearings? This money has been around a long time. Does this mean this is the first time this county is using it? If the chairperson gets the credit, who gets the discredit for not doing their job correctly?
