Well, if you do, you will have to live somewhere else. They will not be legalized in Calaveras County anytime soon, despite Supervisors Callaway and Wilensky pleading with the other three Supervisors to agree to license the hybrid.
This all started a few months ago when someone called to report that there was a woman breeding half-wolf, half dogs within the County. She was cited and fined; and then asked the county to reconsider their law.
Supervisor Tofanelli stated that in part, due to the killing of a man by a pack of dogs of another breed, he is not in favor of bringing in any other questionable hybrids.
Supervisor Tryon simply stated that he was not in favor of making any changes in the existing code, which does not allow wolf hybrids. Some websites state that if there are any wild genes, the dog is wild.
Supervisor Spellman also agreed with Tryon and Tofanelli, to recommend that no changes be made in the code.
