Baseball Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn dies

Gwynn played for the Padres
for 20 years.
   Tony Gwynn got 97% of the vote in his first year of eligibility to be inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame after retiring from the San Diego Padres.

   Suffering from cancer of the mouth, which he attributed to years of chewing tobacco, Gwynn was only 54.
