July 22, 1935 - May 29, 2014Florence R. Butera peacefully entered into heaven at her daughter's home
in Modesto. Born in San Jose and raised in Milpitas, she moved to Calaveras County in 1968 and lived in Valley Springs.
She lived in Butte, Montana the last years of her life. Friend and loved by many who knew her,
she loved to go fishing, bake pies and help others.
She owned and operated a fruit stand in Burson and was employed for 29 years as a kitchen aid by Mark Twain Convalescent Hospital in San Andreas.
Preceded in death by husband Manual Butera, she is survived by son Vincent Butera and her daughters Renetta Hale and Annette Rosie Castner.
She leaves 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic and also attended Stone Corral Community church for many years.
Memorial Services will be held at Stone Corral Community Church 9441 Hwy 26 in Jenny Lind on June 14, 2014 at 1 PM. Private burial will follow.
San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
