UPDATE at 8:30 PM: CalFire has reported that the total acreage is now 25,000 and still only 5% containment. 8 structures now destroyed and others damaged. This fire is headed for
Coulterville in the Stanislaus National Forest, it appears. The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office is assisting in the massive evacuation due to this fire.
As of 6:30 PM on July 18, 2017 the Detwiler Fire is 19,600 acres and is still only 5% contained.
Evacuations continue and Hwy 49 is limited to access necessary for residents of the areas affected.
Miraculously only 1 home is confirmed as destroyed so far.
