Cooler Weather Puts Damper on Fires

A relief to firefighters, homeowners and wildlife in the Placer County area of Forestville, is the cooler weather, helping CalFire contain the "Robbers" fire.
Again today, Thursday, July 19, 2012, clouds hang overhead and may even bring a few raindrops in the higher elevations of the Sierras. Even the giant Mendocino fire is expected to be fully contained in the next couple of days after blackening 29,000 acres.
CalFire is still warning everyone to be careful with any kind of fire or even spark, as conditions in our forests will only get worse in the next couple of months.
