Letter to Editor: Tryon and Segalla?

   Dear Editor:
Supervisor Tom Tryon was actually furious that County Staff was working with Chair Gary Tofanelli to try and find a way to fund one more Sheriff's Deputy!  He could have cared less about US, the public needing more
protection from the criminals.
He was more angry about being out of the loop, than about not wanting another deputy. Yes, he voted against it. Oh, boy, did he vote against it!
And Al Segalla made public comments that he is more concerned about having clerks to record property sales (he's a realtor) than having adequate law enforcement.
While Segalla seemed to have been trying to help Tryon, Gary Tofanelli reminded Segalla that just last week he both verbally and in writing submitted to the Board of Supervisors the idea of OUTSOURCING clerical work.
I do believe that Segalla is trying to help Tryon keep his seat as Supervisor, even if it means embarrassing himself like I think he did at that meeting.

If Tom Tryon gets re-elected, it will be a miracle, in my opinion. And now he won't vote to give us another deputy sheriff because another Supervisor proposed it?  He's got to go!

Personally, I believe you misunderstood Mr. Segalla. You could contact Mr. Segalla directly and question him as to his expressed thoughts. I did. I didn't find it in the way you have expressed.
