Murphys Sanitary District Board Meets Monday, July 9, 2012

The Murphys Sanitary District Board of Directors meets on Monday July 9 at 6 PM at 90 Big Trees Rd. in Murphys.
If you think sewage disposal
is unimportant, think again!
Several issues brought out and questioned by the Sierra Sentinel during an investigation are on the agenda, including
conflicts of interest by Pat Davies and legal counsel, and written correspondence from Pat Davies and Ken Airola to conflicts of interest questions.
The newest Board Member Fred Kett will be making his first appearance on the Board since appointed by the Board of Supervisors 2 weeks ago.
Perhaps Mr. Kett can help with some of the split decisions the Board has had of late. The Sentinel has received much more information that we could make public. Hopefully the Board will take appropriate action.
Also on the agenda, among other things, is a storage capacity evalutation report by engineer Gary Ghio, a groundwater quality corrective action plan, a finance report, and making changes to the Employee Manual Policy: 102 Unlawful Harrassment change to SDRMA recommendations.

The public is welcome to attend.

Our sewer system continues to "spill" raw sewage into the streets and our yards. It is way over capacity now, so what is the plan? No more sewer hookups, higher rates, and who's in charge? We will know more Monday night at 6P. I encourage those in Murphys with commercial businesses, second homes, rentals, property owners, families and seniors to attend Monday's meeting to hear what condition our condition is in at the Murphys Sanitary District.
