CalFire Fire Control Class--Flames may be visible

CalFire reports that on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the CalFire Standard Station at 18464 Striker Court the training division of CalFire and Tuolumne County Fire Department (TCFD) will be conducting a fire control course.

This course will instruct firefighters on techniques to fight flammable liquid fires.  As part of this course there will be a live fire component which will take place, approximately between the hours of 6 PM and 10 PM.

A propane fire prop will be used.  This prop will produce flames that may reach up to 20 feet and be visible from Tuolumne Road and the Standard area.

The live fire exercise will be supported by two CalFire and TCFD engines, three CalFire safety officers, as well as three highly qualified instructors.

This exercise will be conducted in a safe controlled manner, will pose no threat to the public and will produce little to no smoke.
