CHP has reported that Austin Greenough (19) of Valley Springs was driving a 65 Chevrolet eastbound on Double Springs road at 2 PM on March 28, 2013.
As the vehicle negotiated a dip in the roadway Greenbough was unable to maintain control of the Chevrolet due to unsafe speed.
Greenough lost control of the vehicle as it traveled off the roadway and collided with a fence and a telephone pole.
Greenough was not seriously injured. One of his passengers, Justin Jarris (18) of Valley Springs was transported to UC Davis Medical Center with major injuries.
Two other passengers, Charles Sims (15) of Valley Springs and Austin Rowe (19) of Valley Springs had minor injuries and sought their own aid.
