Charles "Chuck" Foster Dabler

    Chuck, age 79, passed away at home in San Andreas on March 24, 2013.
He was born in Modesto on April 13, 1833 to parents Cletis Everett Dabler and Alma Eva McKibben Dabler.

   Chuck graduated from Modesto High School in 1952. He met and married Jackie Fernandez and together they raised 3 children.

   He was employed by many grocery stores as a butcher and was a heavy equipment operator.

   Chuck was an active man and lived life to the fullest in his younger days.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles on the street and in the dirt throughout his life.

   He taught his children to ride at young ages.  He also enjoyed water skiing and camping. He loved living in the mountains and moving dirt with his backhoes and tractors.

   He often helped others and gave to those in need.  He will be missed by his family and friends.

   He is survived by his daughters, Marlene (Jim), Leslie (Monty); 6 grandchildren, Rachelle (Josh), Rachel, Dennis (Kyra), Sarah (Todd), and Paul; 11 great-grandchildren, Samuel, Christina, Nevaeh, Austin, Angelina, Ashlynn, Ethen, Brooklyn, William, Annalynn, Cameron, and one on the way.

   He is also survived by a brother, Clarence Dabler, and sister, Della Raines. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Fernandez Dabler; sons Charles D. Dabler and David Dabler.

   Graveside services will be held on Saturday April 6, 2013 at 1 PM at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson.

   In lieu of flowers, please give a donation to a charity of your choice.
