This is nothing new! What is the cost of winning a Congressional seat? It gets higher all the time, and they are re-elected every two years.
That means that never-ending campaigning is part of the job. Very few seats are not at the very least competitive.
Many are wondering in Congressman McClintock will have a competitor in the next cycle. Maybe that's why he's visiting Calaveras County next month.
The Tea Party members will support him, but will moderate or business Republicans? We'll have to wait and see.
