The City of San Francisco has a developers 12 story condominium project on hold.
Called 8 Washington Project, it replaces an old Port Authority parking lot next to the Ferry Building.
The problem comes with the fact that the old sewer system around it could be compromised and an earthquake (which is probable eventually) could bring serious problems.
