Petition to get Celeste Greig removed

Apparently a petition to remove the California Republican Assembly head Celeste Greig, has garnered 22,000 signatures so far.

The head of the organization that Ronald Reagan once called the "conscience of the party", caused quite a stir when she addressed comments made by former Missouri Senate candidate Todd Akin last fall about "legitimate rape."

She stated "Granted, the percentage of pregnancies due to rape is small because it's an act of violence because the body is traumatized."

Then she admitted that she has no idea what the percentage of pregnancies are due to rape. A group called "CourageCampaign.org is apparently leading the petition drive.

They say this proves that when Republicans perenially wonder why voters registered below 29%, comments like this are the answer. They are not willing to change, according to couragecampaign.

   What do you think?
