According to a press release from CalFire on May 16, 2014 crews have contained 3 more of the current wildfires burning in California. How many are arson is still not clear.
Santa Ana winds have continued to challenge the 2600 firefighters battling ten major wildfires, but 2 were contained yesterday.
Progress on the remaining 8 large wildfires which have charred 10,000 acres is good. The Tomahawk Fire is only 5% contained after 8000 acres have burned. Calfire reports that they have responded to 120 fires in just the last few days.
