Ebbetts Pass Forest Watch has cancelled their events for this month, including the Film Festival and the picnic due to the devastating Butte Fire.We are sharing a letter from Supervisor Chris Wright of District 2 to his constituents:
"It was the hardest and saddest day of my life driving through our beautiful rural foothill community.
I will continue to work with the county and state officials to help rebuild and restore our county.
Despite the horrific losses, our community spirit lives on and, in fact, is even stronger now.
Amidst the shock of our losses, it seems almost impossible, but we will rebuild.
We will keep you apprised of assistance available for the rebuilding efforts. It won't be easy, but we will go forward."
