According to CHP, on September 18, 2015 around 8:45 PM Robert Boardman (67) of Los Altos was in a 1976 Fiat, travelling east on Hwy 4, just east of Northwood Drive in the
Forest Meadows area, at a speed of 60 MPH.
He failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and allowed his vehicle to run off the road.
The Fiat travelled down an embankment and collided with a tree. Mr. Boardman, who was alone in the vehicle, was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered fatal injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and will determine if alcohol and or drub impairment cause the collision, according to the report.
The name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
