September 10, 2015 at 5:20 AM: We just received notice that the entire town of Mokelumne Hill is being evacuated due to the Butte Fire. Law enforcement, including CHP and the Calaveras Sheriff's Office are assisting.
Also, a Command Post is being set up at Amador County Fairgrounds for crews battling the Butte Fire.
Overnight 7 homes in the Calaveras County area of Mokelumne Hill have been destroyed. An accurate count on other structures is still not known.
