Motorcycle Accident on Hwy 26

   Two CHP units are enroute to a traffic accident at Hwy 26 and Shelton Rd in Valley Springs. It is reportedly a motorcycle involved accident at 8:30 PM on August 30, 2012.

   An ambulance is also enroute.  CalFire was also notified. Use caution in that area.

Rush Fire is Contained

  After 317,000 acres were burned, the Rush Fire, near Ravendale, is finally contained.

Bagley Fire Near Big Bend

  The Bagley Fire, in the Shasta/Trinity National Forest is 36, 457 acres and 24% contained.as of August 30, 2012 at 6:30 PM.

   Caused by lightning, this fire has destroyed 7 homes and 20 commercial buildings. There are 10 helicopters, 44 dozers, 85 engines and 1655 firefighters assigned to this fire.

Traffic Accident at Hwy 12 & 26

     CHP received a report of a traffic accident at Hwy 12 & 26 in Valley Springs just after 7 PM. on August 30, 2012.

   A grey Chrysler was partly off the road in a ditch. It was unknown if there were any injuries. A tow truck was called and an off duty officer was on the scene.

     Use caution in that area until it is cleared.
