Court Computer System Finally Buried? No wonder we're broke!!

Touted as one of the, if not the biggest waste of money in California history, the end has finally come to an effort to build a $2 billion
computer system linking the state's 58 county courts.

Most say it never worked and was doomed from the start.

And we know about "change" orders. Well this one had 102, with total amounts around $500 million.

That is money already spent in the past decade, kind of like our wasted money in Calaveras County on the General Plan Update, not to mention the JAIL.

It seems that Calaveras County also had a bad computer system they wasted money on and then threw out.

The Judicial oversight committee, concerned about complaints and no end to costs, virtually buried it alive.

If every county and the state runs its finances like this, no wonder we're all broke!!
