Letter to the Editor: About Water

  Dear Sentinel Editor:

I've read a lot lately about the drought and how the future for California is probably desalinization of the ocean.

I ten to agree with that suggestion and feel that the Central Valley farmers, who sell agricultural products around the world, make a lot of money from those sales.

Therefore, it seems only right that the expense of the desalinization should be borne by both the government and the farmers who benefit.

That would leave the precious Sierra Nevada water to the residents.

Thank you,  Jack in Calaveras County

Did you know that despite the drought the state lawmakers failed to pass a bill against fracking, which uses unbelievable amounts of water?
