September 10, 2015 at 3 PM: Calaveras County Animal Services has just released a notice about evacuated domestic animals due to the Butte Fire.
If you evacuated you dogs, cats or other pets make sure you have their essentials; food, medication or other needs.
You may take you pet to the Calaveras County Animal Shelter on Jeff Tuttle Road in San Andreas or to the Calaveras County Fairgrounds. The fairgrounds will take your small or large livestock.
If you were evacuated and had to leave your animals behind, please contact Animal Services at 754-6509. They will do their best to retrieve your pets.
And remember, do not leave your pets in the car. They can die quickly from the heat.
