September 16, 2015 at 6:20 AM: What the Calaveras Office of Emergency Services does NOT say is that a tree fell on Hawver Road overnight, near Doster Road in the Railroad Flat area of the Butte Fire.
The roadway is blocked. Please avoid Hawver Road. A crew is being sent out to clear the tree this morning. CHP has sent a unit to block Hawver for safety.
The OES needs to be posting flyers in the burn areas where they are "repopulating" to warn residents that burned trees may fall at any time. They need to be vigilant.
