During this unbelievable horror of the Butte Fire that Calaveras County residents, especially in the Mokelumne Hill and now Mountain Ranch area are experiencing, many of us find it difficult to sleep.
We want to thank everyone who has sent us emails and personal thoughts about what is happening. We wish there was more we could do besides report everything we hear.
We will continue to follow any breaking news and to share what we hear on the scanners, in addition to personal information all of you share with us.
We are all aware that there have not been enough resources provided to Calaveras Cal Fire to properly battle this fire.
We also know that this fire proves that just clearing your land somewhat is not going to save your home. We would all have to completely clear-cut the world to stop a large fire like this one.
