Cut Jeanne Boyce's Administrative Budget in Half- Give it to the Sheriff!

The main contentious area of the budget hearings in Calaveras County last week was the Sheriff, who has requested more deputies on the streets due to increased crime.
Because of loss of the economy in Calaveras County, property values are nearly half what they used to be and the Board of Supervisors, who mainly caused this mess, don't seem to get that with no jobs and no money, comes more crime!
It is the Sierra Sentinel's opinion that they need to cut Jeanne Boyce's administrative budget in half. We believe this is a total waste of money.
All they do is look for different ways to push more taxes and fees on us, the voters of Calaveras County. The Board members want to keep that department fat to help them.
Why is it that they have not been proposed to have any cuts at all to Boyce's Administration?  Cut them in half and give it to the department that has suffered the most due to your bad anti-job policies, the Sheriff's Department!
And we haven't see the Board members cut their pay in half since they cut their work in half. How do they get away with this?
We need more deputies to protect us from the criminal element that our elected officials caused to increase, so cut the budget you most want to keep big and help the residents of Calaveras County for a change.
