Update on Railroad Flat Road Arrest

        More details have become available on the three arrests made after a vehicle stop on Railroad Flat Road near West Point. 
    A deputy, according the the Sheriff's Department, attempted to catch up with a vehicle travelling
at a high rate of speed to conduct an enforcement stop.
     The vehicle stopped near the 4500 block of Railroad Flat Road and all occupants fled into the brush. A perimeter was established in the area and 3 subjects were detained nearby.
     During an investigation and with the assistance of witnesses in the area, a firearm was located nearby that was determined to be associated with the vehicle.
    All three subjects, Axiel Negron (34), Ernest Cuellar (18) and Rouchelya Malave (29) of Sacramento were arrested on various charges, including resisting arrest, concealing evidence, conspiracy to commit a crime, carrying a concealed firearm, carrying a loaded firearm in a public place.
     Negron had an additional charge of being a convicted felon in possission of a firearm. Cuellar had an additional charge of fleeing in a motor vehicle from a peace office and Malave had an additional charge of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
