San Andreas Julenile Arrested for Burglary and Possession of Stolen Property


Breaking store-front windows to
burglarize would be noticed in
a busy town because of the noise.
     According to the Calaveras County Sheriff's Department, a 16 year old male from San Andreas has  been  arrested for burglary and possession of stolen property taken from a business known as Hemptation.
     After a passerby noticed the front window was broken out, employees found items missing
on June 2, 2012.  On June 10, 2012, around 11:30 PM, a Sheriff's Deputy patrolling the area noticed that another window on the front of the business had been shattered,
     Deptuies responded to the area along with the assistance of an Angels Camp Police Officer and K-9 unit, to locate the suspects without success.
     Upon arrival of store employees, it was descovered that numerous items were stolen from inside the store. Investigators conducted follow-up on this case including numerous anonymous tips regarding who committed the burglaries.
     A 16 year old male juvenile from San Andreas was arrested after investigators located items that were positively identified as stolen during the second burglary.
     This is still an active investigation with follow-up being done to identify possible accomplices, according to the Sheriff's Department report.
