Finally: Official Sheriff's Office Response to "Bump V"

    We just received, Wednesday, June 27, 2012,  an official press release from the Sheriff's Office concerning the many calls they had received from press outlets, including the Sierra Sentinel.
     They now state that from Friday June 22nd through Sunday June 24th there were
twenty-eight (28) bookings into the Calaveras County Jail.
     Extra Deputies were assigned to work a special detail covering the Bump V event at the Lake Tulloch Resort in Copperopolis.
    Fourteen (14) of the overall weekend's arrests were made in the area of Lake Tulloch. The majority of those arrests were for public intoxication charges.
     Three (3) other bookings this wekend were for court commitments and eleven (11) other various misdemeanor and felony arrests were made throughout Calaveras County during the weekend. Copper Gazette
