Unemployment Up to 8.3 % Nationwide

  Although around 49,000 jobs were added in some sectors, overall the nations unemployment rose to 8.3%.

   In what 5 years ago would have been the summer boom of jobs looking for people to work them,how can there be more unemployment.

   In a complex structure used to figure out the unemployment numbers, it is difficult to fathom that we are actually in a recovery.

   Here in Calaveras County, those who lost their jobs over the past 5 years have either moved or are trying to make a living doing something for nearly half of what they used to bring home.
