On August 21, 2017 the Angels Camp Police Department arrested Vonna Faye Hughes (69) of Angels Camp at her residence on South Main Street on an outstanding
warrant.
Hughes was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly three counts of Cruelty to Animals, Grand Theft dog for sale and 2 counts of Grand theft property, all felonies and for 1 count misdemeanor cruelty to animals.
What we'd like to know is why a couple who poisoned a dog for fun have not been arrested and thrown in jail??? Oh, friends of the Calaveras Sheriff????
