Christopher Columbus was said to have discovered America. However, history indicates that he actually tried to imprison the natives and take over in a brutal way.
Italian or not, Columbus is NOT the hero many grew up believing he was. Let's put up some statues of true heroes, instead?

I presume this was a stab at the confederate statue issue. If the Columbus statues are in places native Americans go for government services such as a courthouse or city hall, then yes they should be removed. Memorials, cemeteries, museums etc should never have any statues removed.
Not everyone that has a confederate flag has called me racist slues but everyone that has called me racist slurs flies a confederate flag.
