After receiving numerous complaint from worried residents we emailed Josh White with CalFire about the heavy smoke coming from Lakemont subdivision.
He responded that the US Forest Service is doing a prescribed burn of 30 acres in that area and that CalFire has no control over it.
CalFire has suspended all burning below 3500', which is the Avery area. NO BURNING with or without a permit!!
