If you follow news reports at all, you are aware that crime in Calaveras County is rampant.
A campaigner for the temporary Sheriff DeBasilio actually came to the podium during the Public Comments period to campaign for him and LIED that there is NO crime in Calaveras.
In fact, since the Sheriff admitted publicly that he abuses his own dog, we consider that HE is one of the criminals in the county!!
