Donnell Fire Update

The new owners of the Dardanelle Resort were
devastated when the Donnell Fire ravaged the resort.
As of August 17, 2018 at 9:55 AM the Donnell Fire has burned 31,369 acres and the perimeter is now 36% contained.

An area of concern is north of Spicer Reservoir. The cause of this fire has yet to be determined.

Trying to PRY information out of the USFS through their contact # is literally impossible.

The fire is also burning in Alpine County, although it doesn't indicate so on the website.

Also, we were given information that the area where the fire started was being cut down and some believe there may have been a burn pile escape.  The contact, who said she is from New Mexico, didn't even know where Arnold was

She also denied any possibility of a burn pile causing this fire. We are trying to get information from CalFire, but this fire is not their responsibility.

This was a blessing disguise as it was a dilated piece of garbage that should have been torn down years ago!
