Yearling Black Bear released

A one-year-old Black bear cub was released in the Los Padres National Forest by California Fish and Wildlife officers after months in captivity.

The cub had been found in distress and captured by Wildlife officers last fall. The Lake Tahoe Wildlife center rehabilitated the cub so it could be released back into the forest.

Hope the poor thing makes it through the next hunting season.
