Narcotics arrests in Sonora and Tuolumne

    According to the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office, on March 25, 2014 an ongoing investigation by the Tuolumne Narcotics Team (TNT) culminated in a search warrant being served
in the 18000 block of Carter Street in Tuolumne.

  The suspects, Sondra Ledsome and Vincent Browe were located inside the residence. A subsequent search of the residence resulted in the seizure of narcotics paraphernalia an a Winchester 22 caliber rifle.

   TNT detectives were able to develop information that led them to a motel room in the City of Sonora where two additional suspects, Russell Lee and Briaunna Pender were located.

   TNT detectives seized 10.28 grams of Heroin, 2.0 grams of Methamphetamine, .8 grams of marijuana and 25 prescription pills of various types, along with a scale and packaging material.

   TNT is actively completing follow up on the case and additional charges could be added, ncluding illegal drug sales within a thousand feet of Summerville Elementary School.

   Lee and Pender are currently still in custody at the Tuolumne County Jail with bail set at $50,000 each.

   Browne and Ledsome were cited and released after their booking at the Tuolumne County Jail, according to Scott Johnson, PIO of the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office.

   Russell Allen Lee, Jr. (25), a transient is alleged to be in Possession of Narcotics for Sale and Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, felonies, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

    Briaunna Marie Pender (20) of Jamestown is alleged to be in Possession of Narcotics for Sale and Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, felonies and for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.


   Vincent Craig Bowne (24) of Tuolumne and Sondra Anne Ledsome (22) of Tuolumne, were charged with alleged Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
