Charles Daniel Hoskins, Retired PG&E manager

    Charles Daniel Hoskins, of Ione passed away at his home on March 26, 2014. He was 72.


    A native of Panama City, Florida, Mr. Hoskins was a retired General Construction Manager for PG&E after 33 years.

    He served in the Air Force from 1960 to 1963, and had lived in California for 51 years and a resident of Ione for 17 years.

   Chuck loved singing gospel songs at Stone Corral Church in Valley Springs. He also enjoyed ranching, hunting in Montana, fishing anywhere, and building anything from birdhouses to homes.

   He especially loved his family and cherished his time with his children and grandchildren.

   Chuck is survived by his wife Helen Hoskins of Ione, sons Bobby Hoskins of Great Falls, Montana, Tom Hoskins of Red Bluff, Joe Kasper of Brandywine, Maryland, and Scott Kasper of Oakdale; daughters Dale McMillen of Manton, Gale Noreen of Yuba City, and Shawmaire Begrin of Manton.; brothers Lynn Hoskins of Red Bluff and Glynn Hoskins of Panama City, Florida; sisters Dorthwy Ward and Betty Whitten, both of  Panama City, Florida; 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

   He was preceded in death b his parents Euzar and Vera Mae Hoskins and brother Ray Hoskins.

   A Memorial Service will be held at Stone Corral Church in Valley Springs on May 3, 2014 at 11 AM.
