On September 2, 2017 at approximately 7:30 AM Michael Morlin (69) of San Francisco was riding his 1984 BMW motorcycle on Vallecito Road near Hwy 4 in Angels Camp when he reportedly fell asleep.
His bike ended up at the bottom of a rocky ravine and he was air-flighted to Modesto Memorial Hospital with major injuries. Mr. Morlin apparently stated that he was only driving 5 MPH. Also CHP does not indicate this was a motorcycle, but we happened to drive by and see it at the bottom of the ravine.
